The matrimony of Mimi is coming to TV. Mariah Carey's wedding to James Packer will be featured in the 46-year-old's upcoming E! reality series, Mariah's World. "Her team wants it on the show," a Carey source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The "Hero" singer is currently filming the docu-series, which will take fans behind the scenes of her Las Vegas residency and two-month European tour. "Her manager is a reality TV producer and got her the deal," a second source previously told Us. Added a third insider: "It's nuts. Mariah is very funny on camera."
Though Carey and Packer, 48, who got engaged in January, haven't set a date for their wedding, the Carey insider says the Australian billionaire would "go along with" the on-air nuptials. "He does what Mariah wants," the source adds.
No doubt fans would love to see the singer walk down the aisle. And based on Nick Cannon's well-wishes to the couple, he might tune in too. "Congrats to Mariah Carey and James! May God bless your future union. Great people, great couple," Carey's ex-husband and dad of 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan wrote on Instagram in January.
According to The New York Times, Mariah's World will air later this year, with the wedding taking place this spring.
