Even Mariah needs extra storage in her kids' bedrooms

Prior to giving birth to twins, Monroe and Moroccan, as reported by "Life & Style Magazine", music diva Mariah Carey gave them an intimate peek into her babies' nursery on April 30, 2011. A glance around the room revealed plenty of extra furnishings besides their matching cribs. The obvious reason for these add-on pieces is to store all the clothes and toys this celebrity duo will be enjoying as a result of their star parentage. Home and Bedroom, an online retailer of quality discount furnishings, has just added a collection of Nexera Furniture storage beds and storage bedroom sets that afford average moms and dads the opportunity to give their kids' rooms the same neat and clean star treatment. In honor of the start of summer, customers can get an extra 5% savings off the already discounted prices on it's entire inventory until June 30th.

Carey and her husband Nick Cannon aren't the only superstars to make sure their kids' sleeping quarters have plenty of storage pieces. A photo slideshow titled "Celeb Mamas Pimp Their Cribs" on the Lil Sugar website indicates that Kelly Ripa, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Brook Burke have also made sure their little ones' nurseries were well stocked with shelved bassinets, cabinets, cupboards and dressers.

All that pimping doesn't come cheap either. In a study commissioned last year by the website BabyChild.org.uk, it was determined that "the average parent spends a total of £1,085.07 on their newborn baby's nursery. This figure," which is the equivalent of about U.S. $1,775, "covers everything from the cot and bedding, to the paint for the walls and flooring, but excludes toys and clothing."

While Mariah Carey can throw around money like that, middle-class parents would be well served to ensure every piece they add to their new addition's room counts. The childrens bedroom sets from Nexera that Home and Bedroom is now carrying can take a kids bedroom all the way from baby to the teenager with little added cost. And when it's time to pack up the crib in the attic, a Nexera storage bed offers the grown-up bedding arrangement preschoolers crave while providing plenty of built-in space to stow their ever-increasing pile of possessions.

Even the pop superstar Carey herself might want to take a closer look at the bedroom storage options Nexera Furniture has to offer. If her room-sized shoe closet is any indication, a little extra hiding place for her personal stash would certainly go a long way.
