Princess Mariah and her little pumpkins

She may be miles away from home in Australia, but Mariah Carey was still determined to celebrate one of her favourite holiday traditions on Friday. The singer's three-year-old twins looked delighted with their costumes, with son Moroccan sporting a Spider-Man outfit and Monroe dressed as Elsa from Frozen.

"Holiday festivities no matter where we are. Australia Halloween," she wrote alongside the snapshots showing the youngsters clutching bright orange trick or treat bags. And they seemed to be having a fabulous time alongside a table laden with candy, themed paper decorations and pumpkin balloons. Mariah also posted an Instagram video where she appeared to be deciding whether to be filmed under "hideous" lights while curving a pumpkin.

The star is currently on tour promoting her Elusive Chanteuse album, taking the stage in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday - she posted a picture on her Instagram account of herself dressed in a Santa Claus ensemble. "On stage right now: Mariah celebrates Halloween as Mrs. Claus with a sold out audience in Bangkok, Thailand," she wrote alongside the picture.

The shows continues in Perth, Australia on Sunday, with the leg of the tour ending in New Zealand on November 16. However, according to recent reports, the singer has yet to sell out her six date tour. The 45-year-old slashed her remaining ticket prices to $99 for 99 hours on Tuesday in a bid to revive interest. While it's the five-time Grammy award-winning singer's first national Australian tour in 15 years, excluding a three date East Coast reprieve in January 2013, it appears she's failed to draw the crowds.

Mariah seems in good spirits despite recent upheaval in her personal life - splitting from presenter husband Nick Cannon. Canon, 33, first confirmed that the pair were living apart back in August and that they would be separating permanently. But the television host, writer, producer, director and singer harbours no hard feelings towards his ex-wife - who he married in 2008 after a whirlwind two month romance.

"What infuriates me most is to hear people slander Mariah Carey," he wrote to his 4.9 million followers on Twitter. "I will forever be in debted [sic] to her for blessing me with our children. I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more. Mariah Carey is an amazing mother and I trust her wholeheartedly."
