Mariah Carey "obsessed" with Christmas?
Mariah Carey is so obsessed with Christmas that she decorates her entire home with "lights, trees and snow globes" beginning every November 1, claims In Touch. The tab goes on to report that one of the reasons she's such a "fanatic" and brings in the holiday season as "early as possible" is that it gives her an excuse to watch herself in the music video for her 1994 song "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
The magazine says Carey really loves the way she looked in the 20-year-old footage. According to In Touch, Carey she likes watching herself in "All I Want for Christmas Is You" so much that she has the video playing in "every room of her house" on a "constant loop". In fact, the tabloid notes Carey only "takes breaks from decorating her house to talk to the screen" about how "young, thin and gorgeous she looks".
And if you believe any of the In Touch story, you probably also believe in Santa Claus. Here's what's really going on. This past November 1 happened to have been the 20th anniversary of the holiday song's release, and In Touch used the opportunity to manufacture a ridiculous story about Carey. The singer didn't begin decorating her house on November 1, because she's been out of the country for several weeks, first performing in Asia and then on a cruise in Australia with her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Still, Gossip Cop checked with Carey's rep who tells us exclusively the entire In Touch story is "not true". Once again, the tabloid has landed on our naughty list. (Gossip Cop)
