Mariah Carey thanks fans, shows off fan mail
Mariah Carey thanks her fans in an Instagram video on Monday, after wrapping up the first leg of her "#1 to Infinity" Las Vegas residency over the weekend. In the clip, the pop star is seen on a couch surrounded by heaps of fan mail.
"Thank you so much you guys! I had so much fun with you," says Carey. "Look at all of this mail and all this old-school fan paraphernalia. It's the best. You guys are unparalleled." She captioned the post, "Thank you so much lambily, see you in July."
Carey also posted a video taken right after she left the stage on Sunday following her final May concert. "Yay. Happy, happy moment," she exclaims. "We just finished our last show for May, and we're having a good time. About to celebrate and discuss all kinds of things."
Despite Carey's good spirits, the pop star's residency hasn't been without obstacles. As Gossip Cop reported, the R&B legend had to cancel one of her first shows earlier this month after she suffered from what she said was bronchitis. After some vocal rest, Carey returned to the stage, and to the Billboard Music Awards as well, giving her first BBMAs performance in 17 years.
Following the brief setback and some mixed reviews, it was announced last week that the music icon's Las Vegas residency is being extended through February 2016. The singer will first return in July for the second string of performances. (Gossip Cop)
