Mariah takes Manhattan
Mariah Carey played ordinary New Yorker yesterday. Pushing her new "Rainbow" album (due Nov. 2), the songbird went shopping at the Manhattan Mall, ate McNuggets at McDonald's and even bought a MetroCard. Does she actually ride the subway? Her rep declined to comment, citing "security reasons." Safe to say, your typical straphanger doesn't fly by helicopter to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Unfortunately for traders who were itching to see the sex kitten, bad weather grounded Carey's chopper in New Jersey, so she didn't make it in time. (New York Daily News)
