Mariah Carey to sparkle in "All That Glitters"
Music diva Mariah Carey's "fantasy" to be a movie siren is coming true - as she gets set to begin shooting her new film for Columbia Pictures, "All That Glitters." The gifted singer has displayed some decent acting abilities in her recent videos, as she has run, swam and danced away from some perpetrators, and most recently duked it out with her alter-ego, the dark maned vixen, in a woman's bathroom. In "Glitters," she will play a young singer (what a shock) who dreams of becoming famous. The odds are against the down and out songstress, until a DJ listens to her demo tape... and the rest? Well, you can probably guess what happens next.
Shooting is scheduled to begin on July 24, in Toronto and New York. Also on board to star with the fabulous Miss Carey is rap star Da Brat. Catch Mariah in all her "glittered glory" when this musical drama opens next March. (Netcenter Celebrity News)
