Rumour woman

Now that all those rumours about the film version of "Spider-Man" have subsided, prepare to be washed away by "Wonder Woman" gossip. Yes, the'70s female icon for people who thought Charlie's Angels were just too prissy is still trying to make her way onto the big screen. The "Wonder Woman" film has been in development for several years and many names have been linked with the central role of Yeoman Diana Prince.

A few months ago, the Daily Star reported that Mariah Carey was in line to play Wonder Woman. Well, the latest rumour doing the rounds in Hollywood is that Kristen Johnston will play the role made famous by Lynda Carter in the '70s. The 6' tall Johnston has reportedly pushed aside the likes of Carey, Sandra Bullock and Catherine Zeta Jones and is set to play the all-American superhero.

Johnston was last seen playing Wilma in "The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas" but is best known for her starring role in TV comedy series "Third Rock From The Sun". She also played Ivana Humpalot in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me". Watch this space for more rumours.
