Mariah causes a right Carey on
The Mariah Carey carnival was in full swing today as the diva caused carnage in London sparking rows with photographers and headaches for assistants with a list of lavish demands. As the singer swung through hordes of shoppers in Covent Garden her bodyguards came close to brawling with a pack of paparazzi.
One eyewitness, drummer Dan Hydes, said: "I was just waiting for a friend when her big black limo rolled up. Her bruisers got out of the car before her and clashed with a stack of photographers anticipating her. One really aggressive one sized right up to a snapper and it had to be defused."
Meanwhile a major logistics operation is in full swing for her CD signing at Selfridges department store this afternoon. Among her lavish demands for the appearance are: a £5,000 table direct from Greenwich Village in New York, special Fiji water from the rainforests to sip on and America's Trident chewing gum to munch.
Other treats include a £1,000 throne to rest her diva derriere as well as a shipment of Krispy Kreme doughnuts for her entourage. (Metro)
