Obsessed enters The Australian Music Report at No.26
The Australian Music Report is a music chart compiled weekly from information gathered from radio stations and other sources that provide information on songs that have been playlisted and played on radio during the previous seven days.
This week the Hot Shot Debut comes from Mariah Carey with Obsessed, which is the first single to be released from her new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, due for an August release. Carey announced that the first single from Memoirs would be "Obsessed"; she also stated that this is one of her favorite songs ever and was an "uptempo fun summer record", and even though she wanted to release a ballad, "Obsessed" had to come out first. Mariah has stated, "It's different for me, but clearly, it's SO me!"
Obsessed has gained lots of airplay from FOX, 2DAY and NOVA (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane) making Obsessed this week's highest new entry at a No.26. (The Australian Music Report - Mariah Connection)
