Mariah Carey to reunite with Larry King live Wednesday
| | Larry King and Mariah, December 16, 2002 | | Mariah Carey will reunite with Larry King Live to discuss the forthcoming film "Precious" and more this week. Set for Wednesday, November 4, Carey's return to King's show comes seven years after a memorable sit down in 2002. During that interview, which followed a tough period of time for the singer, Carey disputed reports that she was "losing it" and had attempted suicide.
Telling King she was not a "wacko" as reports suggested at one point, Carey went on to reference suicide rumors, stating: "That was the thing that really upset me the most. There are kids who are such fans that they emulate almost everything I do. So the last thing I would want them to think is, you go through something, or you're having a personal problem or whatever, and you go and try to commit suicide."
With a new album ("Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel") and the film "Precious" set for release this week, the tone for Wednesday's sit-down should be much different. Catch Mariah's interview with Larry King Live Wednesday, November 4 at 9pm ET (check local listings). (Singersroom)
