Mariah Carey's rep denies miscarriage rumors
After a whirlwind promotional schedule around the holidays, things have been pretty quiet on the Mariah Carey front. But as rumors of Mariah having another miscarriage with her twins begin to swirl around the internet, a rep for Carey says it's "completely not true".
The website Bricks and Stones Gossip started the rumor that a source close to Mariah revealed that she was no longer pregnant with the twins, citing the reason as an addiction to prescription pills as to why she cannot carry full-term.
The reports began to spread all over the internet, with various news sites and fan forums beginning to report the story. But Mariah's rep tells CNS, " What a horrible rumor... completely not true!"
Upon Carey confirming her pregnancy late last year, she also revealed that she had a miscarriage during a previous pregnancy back in 2008. The experience, she said, was an eye-opener for her and husband Nick Cannon.
"I've never really been a very forthcoming person about my personal stuff," she told Access Hollywood. "It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened ... I wasn't able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy."
So baseless rumors aside, Mariah and Nick are still are happily expecting their twins. She last revealed that they're due in the spring. (All Headline News)
