Re: Alexis (32,161)
by Kimora A. from the USA

As of now that I'm writing this post I'm on the east coast and it's 8:26 PM, you do the math of what time it is wherever you are.
You (hopefully) know that the title of the album, the one Nick and everyone else on twitter retweeted is in fact the name of the
album: Merry Christmas II You. The tweet Mariah tweeted to Nick was a joke. Besides, Nick lives with her and knows everything
that's happening before it is released to the public. Oh and everyone else pretty much already knew Mariah was putting out a
Christmas album, if they didn't then they surely missed the boat. More people were confused as to whether or not she was
recording another album besides the Christmas album this year, to be released sometime next year.

Does anyone know if Mariah has ever sang There For Me live? Because it's my favourite song and I would love to hear it live.

Wow, that VH1 list means nothing (32,159)
by P-Nasty from the USA

After I saw that Latina article on the VH1 artist, I must say it was confirmed that the list was a joke. No latinos and no Usher
on the list? Really? They didn't screw up only our Mimi, but they screwed up on a lot of other artists. The list was chosen by
artists with their own agendas, and people are supposed to believe this list? 50 Cent was embarrassed by Mimi in 2005, both in
CD sales and award shows. When was the last time Gene Simmons won a Grammy?

About the Nick Cannon tweet / re: Mama (32,158)
by Alexis from the USA

I don't think Nick Cannon actually tweeted the album title, I think it was the ghost person who supposedly writes for him
sometimes. Otherwise, why wouldn't he know better? At the same time, I don't get why would she say she never said what type
of album it is (i.e. Christmas?) if she mentioned having Christmas lights to set the mood in the video with JD months ago.
Ah, celebs, I can't understand them, can't live without them. Also Mama, I agree with your reason for shooting the Christmas
cover so early. Another reason could be that a busy photographer has a busy schedule and it is best to do things in advance.

Title (32,157)
by JAS from the USA

Mariah seems to be toying with the title and her husband. Lol. I'm quite sure that's the title and we all knew about the David
Lachapelle photos etc for months. It will be interesting to see when she does announce it herself.

MCIIY album (32,155)
by Ken from the Philippines

If basing from the album she's working right now then I guess pregnancy rumors are really true. If she puts up a holiday album,
the promotions and stuff will only take a short period. Indeed, just for the Christmas season only. Simply put, it will not take
too much of her effort to strain and stress her out during her pregnancy unlike a regular LP wherein she usually works 1-2 years
time. Anyway, I think Merry Christmas II You sounds so cute. I'm getting excited about it. Well I hope she'll dish out powerful
vocals on it just as like the Merry Christmas album.

Pregnant Christmas Cd (32,153)

New Christmas album (32,152)
by Ben Eli from South Africa

I can't wait for the new cd, it will make it an extra special Christmas, just like the first one did when it was so huge
everywhere. I still remember hearing it in every shop and centre and still to this day, wow. MC will always be number one,
and they can't take that away. Wishing all the lambs and MC and NC well.

Christmas album (32,150)
by Will from England

As exciting as this news is, I'm going to wait for Mariah to un-veil the album title herself, just so I don't get excited about
a title which may not be an official one. There have been many cases in the past where supposed album titles have been released
where they have been stated as being the "official title". Take MOAIA, Dream said it would be called "MC3". With E=MC2, it was
another title. The same goes for other albums as well. Although this is some exciting album news, I would say just wait until
something official is released from Mariah's team. Who knows, maybe this is the actual title. But until there is firm confirmation,
I'll remain wary.

MC on Idol (32,148)
by BT from the USA

I've been hearing alot about MC being on Idol. However, when Idol starts in January, won't MC be just having the baby (if she's
4 months preggars as everyone is saying)? That doesn't really make sense if that is the case. It's also interesting how much
buzz and publicity MC has been getting about this pregnacy. That is a testament to the magnitude of MC's star power.

Pregnancy rumors / MDJ top videos (32,147)
by Stacey from the USA

Good for her. Pregnancy is such an amazing thing, how it happens, progresses, etc that when it's your first time being pregnant,
you want to enjoy it privately before annoucing it to the public. I'm not a celebrity and I feel the same way. I told family and
friends I was pregnant with my daughter only after I heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks. I'm even more paranoid now about telling
folks after my miscarriage. So, good for MC for wanting to enjoy it privately, if indeed she is pregnant. That's the way to go.
MDJ videos, if choosing a favorite song was going to be hard, this is off the charts. Oh man, I've got to think about this one,
lol.

MC is spiritual about the rumor (32,146)
by JAS from the USA

That sounds more like it. Cindy Berger said she was superstitious, but obviously Mariah just wants to be low key and careful
until she feels its time to announce something. That's called a leak tweak. Lol. It also sounds like more of what Mariah would say.

Top 20 Mariah Carey videos (32,145)

MDJ is hosting a top 20 favorite Mariah Carey videos countdown. I hope The Roof wins. Shout out to Sergio Valente. Hey B Angie
B, you know I love Justin Timberlake but his arse had no business being on that countdown. They might as well have put Justin

by Stacey from the USA

Thanks for the message. I totally agree with what you said. The funny/ironic thing here is I don't bring up the same examples
over and over again. That's the point I've been trying to make this entire time. I responded to three people on the same topic
using those experiences and that was it. I can't remember the last time I talked about those experiences. I betcha those annoyed
by them can't either, lol. Apparently mentioning on this one topic was one too many times for some here. I know folks like you
appreciate a thoughtful opinion and those are the people who will continue to be my audience and vice versa. Thanks again for
the post. BTW: Well said about Nick speaking on MC to the media. Completely agree.

"The Lamb Directory" has it's "open house" starting September 1st. The entire MCA family is invited to check out what's been
keeping me "pretty much" (but not quite) out of everyone's hair here on the board this past summer, lol. Sorry, no cookies or
coffee, but we do have other things you may want to check out. We are still building, so "pardon our dust" as they say. Anyway,
just Google, Yahoo, Bing, or whatever you do "thelambdirectory" and you'll find us. Or e-mail us at bob.tiaas@yahoo.com for
more info. And as always, thank you Eric, for everything. Hope to see you all there. Enjoy the day everyone. M4E

#94, what? (32,142)
by Deric from the Philippines

"Vision of love" alone is far superior on Bey's entire catalogue. Butterfly album itself makes all JT's effort a trash. What's
wrong with VH1? What's their criteria of ranking such. Arghh. So bleak.

IDK about her colleagues (32,141)
by P-Nasty from the USA

Do people think that these artists have time to vote on a poll by VH1? Not really. I'm not sure about that because of the love
that she receives from some of the artists. I mean, Beyonce, Rihanna, and a lot of the artists apparently respect her, so I doubt
they would rank her lowly. A lot of them respect her, so I think it's a bunch of bitter critics and bitter colleagues who haven't
had a hit in over 20 years. C'mon, George Michael is on the list (hahaha). But the funny thing is, when Mimi puts out her next CD,
VH1 would be fighting tooth and nail to have her on.

The VH1 list (32,140)
by Mike from the USA

Mariah is a great artist, in my opinion. And to be honest, I'm not even angry simply because she is at 94. To be honest, I'm
surprised that she made the list. I know that if that list was by Rolling Stone magazine, she would not have been included,
because they show her even less love than VH1 etc. I think what angers me about the list is the artists that weren't included,
like Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight. And again, Mariah being 94 wouldn't have angered me if the artists that placed
higher were worthy. There is no way that Justin Timberlake has proven himself a greater artist than Mariah, after just two albums
and a hiatus from the music industry since 2006. And Beyonce, I love you to death, but you're not a greater artist than MC. Not
yet, at least. But whatever. It's VH1's opinion, and they're entitled to it. Actually, the list was chosen by industry experts
and other artists, so I don't even think VH1 is to be blamed.

by Angela from San Jose, California

Hmm, that list was composed by Mariah's on peers and music critics. My goodness. Honestly, what's more shocking to me is the

Robert from the USA / Stacey (32,137)
by Angela from San Jose, California

Hey Robert, I understand what you are trying to say. It can't be easy trying to protect your wife's privacy while answering
questions about her at the same time. Not an easy balancing act at all. After re-evaluating the situation, I think Nick is
doing the best he can do and his answers are very articulate and respectful. He is treading new waters. Folks like Brad Pitt
are pros at this sort of thing. Hey Stacey, after being on this site for many years, trust me, the same subject matters or
comments get bought up and repeated over and over and over again, sometimes by the same fans. Some may get irritated and
others may discover a new point of view. No harm, no foul.

JAS / Guido / #94? (32,135)
by Stacey from the USA

JAS, I take everything that happens online with a smile on my face. But uh, if others felt the same as you, they obviously
didn't care enough about it to post or name me in a message directly. But, you did, so... (shrugs). Anyways, this conversation
has run its course. Guido, I completely agree with your post about MC and Nick. Having been married myself almost 9 years
(September 1st), I can tell you marriage is all about supporting your spouse. That's Nick's job just like it's MC's job to
stick up for Nick. He's married to her. He should be up in her business, lol. I don't expect MC to be #1 on every list, but
she should be higher than 94. Are you kidding me? The girl who set the trend infusing mainstream music with rap, the girl who
has more #1s than any other female artists, the top selling female artist can't muster a better than 50 spot? Sad day in music.
I'd like to know how this list came about.

BSquared (32,134)
by Stephen from London, England

I totally agree, that list was very insulting. Mariah has co-written and produced 17 out of 18 number 1 singles. It's
disgraceful that less artistic artists were higher up on that list. It also insults what she has achieved, especifically
with the Fantasy remix, like you said.

#94 (32,133)
by Bsquared from Boston

Seriously? What a load of crap. Super sad that Mariah doesn't get the credit she deserves. Even if you were not a Mariah fan,
you can't deny that she has done incredible things in music. Her style of singing influenced a whole generation of singers.
Her remixes made the importance of a remix equal to the single itself. The Fantasy remix completely changed Pop music. Not
to mention all of her Billboard success, awards, record sales and so on.

VH1 is a joke (32,132)
by P-Nasty from the USA

I mean, c'mon #94. But then again, who watches VH1 anyways? Not me, and I doubt anyone else on MCArchives watches it. It was
a poll but we didn't vote since we don't care. The highest rating they get is usually 3 million viewers due to their trainwreck
reality shows. AGT gets 10.8 to 11 million viewers on Tuesday nights.

Top 100 artists list (32,131)
by JAS from the USA

Mariah should definitely be ranked higher on the list, but the fact that she is on it is still phenomenal. I don't Get Bob Dylan
in the top ten or Madonna in the top twenty above Aretha and Tina Turner, but the rankings seem quite random. Congrats to all the
artists, but the list should be alphabetical, IMO because it's just so random.

#94 (32,130)
by Ryan Vien from Canada

VH1 has mariah at 94 for the greatest artist of all time. What a joke. It really is sad to see Mariah always under rated.
The numbers speak for themselves. I wish that she got the respect she deserves. She has broken all kinds of records. 27
weeks at #1 in Brazil is ridiculous. It's sad that radio doesn't spin her as much, seems like they don't want her to be
successful sometimes.

100 Greatest artists of all time (32,129)
by Mark from the USA

Apparently Mariah is at number 94 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of all time. It's great that she was included,
but she is much too low on that list. Top 50 would have been nice. Here are selected artists and their rank: Madonna 16th,
Aretha Franklin 27th, Beyonce 52 (um, what?), Whitney Houston 60, Justin Timberlake 66, Mary J. Blige 80, Alicia Keys 100.
An ok list.
