Article: Mariah puts on another underwhelming performance (77,507) by Brad Catoe from United States
Not true. Also I was in the last two Vegas performances and they were amazing. Everyone was having a great time and she sounded amazing. Her job is to sing, not dance. She takes singing very seriously and I think when you see her live that's apparent.

Ugh (48,329) by Brad Catoe from United States
I think some people still don't get it. Why does Mariah have go back to her roots or stop with the splashes? Leave the woman alone. I'm so over this. You read Debbie letter but then go Mariah change change. Bye.

You're saying no one cares what we think or feel? That kind of attitude defeats the purpose of having a message board. I don't think I was being too sensitive. I just don't like to be told to not discuss something on a public message board.

Derek? (48,052) by Brad Catoe from United States
Please don't tell us what to post about in this message board. If you would like to talk about something else, just move the convo in that direction. It never fails on this board, somebody has got to ruin it. If you don't want to hear about this, then close your eyes. Anyways, I though it was about Luis because her reference to My All. Wasn't that his favorite song? Before they met, he told her he used to listen to it on repeat? This could just be a rumor.

You're Mine (47,974) by Brad Catoe from United States
This is actually one of my favorite songs. Haha I was so in love with it. I was actually really disappointed that she isnt performing it. That's the one thing I really liked about the Angels Advocate show, she did a lot of songs from the album. I wish she was doing more MIAM songs. Either way though You're Mine is amazing. I hope she knows that it really resonated with some.

I'm sorry but (47,903) by Brad Catoe from United States
If Mariah was on time for your concert that was an anomaly. Hahaha. I love Mariah to death, but it's usual to keep people waiting. Also I've been going to her tours since Rainbow so I can attest. I think for The Adventures Of Mimi she was 2.5 hours late at MSG. Also, really late for Charmbracelet as well. I'm sure most people will agree she's always late. BTW I know we don't mind because we're lambs, but trust me when she did those sold out shows in MSG, people were pissed. I was in the pit and people were leaving. Anywho though, I'd wait forever haha.

Fly like a bird in Manilla (47,679) by Brad Catoe from United States
Ok so I don't want to cause controversy again. Haha but where is everyone who said Mariah's voice was gone because that performance was off the chain. So impressed. The internet was blowing up with news of her lost vocals, but now she's killing it and no one is talking about it. Mariah is a legend. People enjoy knocking you down. Same thing happened with Glitter era. Mariah always makes a comeback. So happy to hear her singing these songs so well.

Marissa (47,568) by Brad Catoe from United States
I get what you're saying and I agree with most of it, but when the last tour started a lot of people were on here saying things like Mariah can't sing, Mariah's career is over. I appreciate everyone's opinion, but I just don't like to hear that because I disagree with both points. Btw I'm not one to over react and act crazy. I would never personally insult anyone here. I was merely stating that there does seem to be many haters on a fan sight. Anyways though, so glad Mimi's tour is going better. On another note, I think we have discussed this before, I get so tired of hearing the same songs. The set list from her first night was amazing. I mean I love Emotions and ABMB, but I rather hear Faded or Camouflage. Actually I would die if she did a concert where she just sang MIAM all the way through. Wouldn't that be amazing?

Thank you so much for shutting down the haters. Like why would you even come on a Mariah fan board to say you were no longer a fan. Of course we're all critical because Mariah had been nearly perfect our entire lives but this was just getting down right crazy. Mariah has been the guiding light in my life many times and I will always support her. No I am not a blind lamb, just loyal. People love to see people fall. Unfortunately that was happening here as well. Mariah please don't Gina way into hiding because you're older and not the same as you were when you were 18. We still love you and we look forward to hearing your inspirational voice for years to come.

Letting Go (46,926) by Brad Catoe from United States
So I was not a big fan at all. I feel bad about complaining during the release. I think the melody is brilliant and is often stuck in my head. I love it.

I wanted to make fun of you, but I do the same thing hahaha. Oh and I can't sing worth s*** haha. I'm practically tone deaf hahaha. I feel bad for my neighbors during my adolescence (Butterfly era) haha.

I get you're joking (46,244) by Brad Catoe from United States
But that's further stigmatizing mental illness. Even though we don't actually know what happened to her during her "breakdown" it was obvious she was dealing with mental illness [censored]. I joke about inappropriate stuff all the time, but joking about mental illness and weight shaming is something you might not want to write down on the internet. Just saying.

I'm sorry but no (45,947) by Brad Catoe from United States
Memoirs was not a "creative dire". That's one of my favorite albums of all time. Just because you don't like the style doesn't mean it's dire. I thought the vocal layering and harmonies were amazing.

MimiLamb I totally agree (45,826) by Brad Catoe from United States
Of course Mariah does things that I'm like , but I try to focus on the positive as well. Although I did just comment on the lipsyncing lol Mariah. Mariah just came out with one of the best albums of her career so I don't see anything to complain about. Sometimes the complaints here are very superficial. What if people told you to act this way or act that way? Superficial critisism can be very hurtful. I just hope Mariah keeps entertaining us and inspiring us for many years to come. And maybe some live singing haha. I don't understand why she doesn't sing live more often. Her vouce in Austrailia was amazing.

But I agree not worth the wait. I didn't even watch the whole performance. What's the point? I could play iTunes lol. Anyways she better not be lipping when she tours this time. The would not be cool. One of the best concerts I have ever been to was Angel's Advocate in Vegas. Her voice was amazing, but it still pissed me off that she lipped Angels Cry. Her voice was in such stellar condition, why lip? I know it's normal for performances to be lipped in Europe, but it's always disappointing. I know Mariah can still sing live, but maybe it's more difficult for her to be in goof voice these days? That could make touring difficult.

Are you crazy? (45,446) by Brad Catoe from United States
Forget about Me I Am Mariah? I have been a fan since the beginning and this is one of her most artistic albums of all time. Why can't art be art? Who cares if it sells? I understand as Mimi fans we expect her to be super successful, but don't judge this era on sales. I really believe it's one of her best albums ever.

Ugh (44,741) by Brad Catoe from United States
I rarely message on this board, but how to solve the Mariah Carey problem? No thank you. This album has really inspired me. The melodies are so Mariah and I'm so glad she stuck to her roots. I'm really confused by this board. Mariah has more hits than the vast majority of artist but everyone wants more. Why can't she just make good music that makes her happy. I'm sorry but have you listed to the top ten. The top 20. If Mariah made music like that this board would explode lol.

Yes you are so right lol. There are some things I don't like about the album, like OMT. I was really disappointed by this, but the other songs are great. Most on this board want Mariah to sing ballads from the 90's co-produced by Afanasieff. I think it comes down to human psychology. People who don't like something are more apt to complain. People who are happy wth Mariah just don't post, like yourself. Also can we please not refer to the 90's as the Golden Years. Lol. Mariah is still relevant and talented. Remember people, the woman is almost 50.

I agree. Most here don't like Mariah's voice, the way she looks, her personality, her songs. Lol. It is sad. Now wait for the barrage of "we are allowed to be critical" posts. Hahah.

Can we please stop with all of the alcohol comments. I think it's so hilarious. I mean I know you can say what you want and it's a free country but the alcohol comments make my eyes roll all the way back in my head. You act like she's a drunk or something. I'm thinking the people who get "nervous" about Mimi's "drinking" don't have a splash. I have wine with dinner and drink on the weekends and it's not my security blanket. Hahaha give it a rest.

I don't think Mariah's music is uninteresting (42,557) by Brad Catoe from United States
This will not be Mariah's last album. I'm sorry, but that's just crazy. Also, talking about the vocals. I really can't think of anyone in the industry who could sing like she does on You're Mine. She's gonna sign to a new label, possibly Epic, and make music as long as she lives. It's her passion.
