About KeShawn Taylor from United States: LAMB 4 LYFE!!!
Have been a Mariah fan since I was two years old and immersed in "DreamLover". I live, breathe, and love me some MC!
Maryland Native.
Virgo.

Top three #1's (53,627) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
It is so hard to select my top three. So many of them hold dear special places to my heart for different reasons. But if I had to absolutely choose.
#1) Dreamlover - Dreamlover will always be the song for me that made be a lamb. I was two years old when the song came out and my family still has videos of me running to the tv when it came on and dancing to the video. It began my infatuation. Since then I have been the die hard lamb that I am today. I will always hold a special place in my heart for this song.
#2) We Belong Together - I was in the eighth grade and I didn't really understand how much of decline Mariah's career was in until I saw how large of an impact The Emancipation Of Mimi was making. We Belong Together was a statement not just for Mariah, but for the Lambily. I wore this song out everyday and still I do to this very day.
#3) My All - It was so hard for me choosing between this and a few others that I'll list in my honorable mention. My All has to be my all time favorite Mariah ballad, sorry WBT. It's just so raw yet she opens it up with such restraint. It took me to go through heartbreak to realize how real this song was (and Breakdown). The spanish guitar made this one even better and I love the diva's live performance of this. The David Morales Remix and So So Def Remix are stone winners as well.
Honorable mentions (so close): Vision Of Love, Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, Honey (that video).

The future (53,626) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
As a lamb, this has been an exciting time. I continue to hear "Infinity" on the radio. The BBMA performance in my opinion was well, but the Kimmel performance was amazing. I think the music video needs to drop ASAP and Mariah needs to get on some more promo the entire month of June heading into July's shows, which I'm proud to say I will be attending. I know we all know Mariah isn't one to lie down and not give her all when folks count her out. MIAMTEC makes her top five in my opinion and due to label issues, it didn't get the success it deserves. Mariah will put her all into this next project and be sure to leave a statement as we are closing in on this new chapter of her career. I am actually excited about this new Christmas movie and string of shows. I saw her in December last year and it was amazing. If executed effectively, there's no reason why this movie (whenever it drops), doesn't propel both Merry Christmas and All I Want For Christmas Is You to the top of the charts respectively giving her a seventh number one album and nineteenth number one single. If those accomplishments don't cement her continuous legacy towards the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, I don't know what will.

Current happenings (53,625) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
There's been a lot going on as of late so I felt it would be the perfect time to address a lot of them. For starters, I want to tackle the promotions concerns I know a lot of people have been having. One thing we have to keep in mind is prior to this week, it's near impossible for Mariah to adequately promote the new single with her being stationed in Las Vegas for the residency. They are very demanding. With the May leg of the shows ending this week, I believe we will see more of Mariah to come beginning next week. This week alone Mariah has been everywhere. I think the L.A. Reid interview was interesting. I think he hits some valid points. For artists of the caliber of Mariah and Madonna, it is difficult to remain in the top tier of the charts with music constantly evolving and both attempting to stay true to their roots. While I doubt it is impossible for Mariah for to receive her 19th number one single, it is going to be more difficult. She will need to reinvent her sound and work with more "hip" writers and producers. The perfect chance for that would've been 2013. That summer was to be the year of Mimi. #Beautiful was definitely on the heels of being a top ten single before things fell apart. The age of "real pure" music just isn't sufficing to airwaves anymore. Even Kelly Clarkson had a difficult time this year. For the first time in a long time, Mariah is in a good place image wise to the public. Promotion has been there and her interviews and performances aswell.

New album (51,721) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
While I can agree that I would've loved to have more new songs on the album, but at the same time we have to take into account that she has been at Sony for all of a month. With the residency next month, there isn't much time to prepare an album with multiple new tracks that take away from the main attraction from the show, the actual #1's. It makes more sense to keep the new tracks minimal. Not to mention the talk of duets was strictly a rumor. It was never confirmed. Just like Nick's tell all book, her new Christmas album, and dating Brett Ratner. None of these were confirmed. I am excited that Mariah will make the most of this the best she can and once the residency ends in July, her and LA will get back to making classic nostalgia. For the time being, I'm excited that already in a day this album is getting more promotion than any Island gave her for MIAM, and beyond excited for this new single, "Infinity". Lets see what else this year has in stores for us.

2015, Vegas, rumors, etc. (49,036) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Greetings everyone. Happy belated holidays and New Year. I think it's all but confirmed that Mariah will be doing a residency in Vegas, as I remember last year there were surfacing rumors of her doing one in Atlantic City. If Mariah has one to two days in between each show, she will have enough time to take proper care of her voice so that it remains in good quality throughout the remainder of the residency. As far as a career move, if managed and executed properly, this could be the wisest decision she's made since 2005. She and management dropped the ball with single choices and reaching full potential with E=MC2 and MOAIA. MIAMTEC isn't even worth mentioning as it relates to promotion and rollout, which sucks because it is a genius album. Depending on when she starts the residency, she could very well use it as a way to bring the songs from the album to life in an attempt to revive and relaunch it, while it is very unlikely. The other alternative to make this successful, similar to Celine and Britney, would be to launch this as a show highlighting her hits and fan favorites and capitalizing on the show's success and popularity to release a new album by the end of the year. This is Mariah's 25th year in the business. Both 1995 and 2005 saw huge years for her with the releases of her songs of the decades and largely successful albums that were not expected. With proper promotion and preparation, this year could be another big year for Mariah, she just has to be 100% ready.

Shade (46,915) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Um. Ok. That took a lot of effort. With many of the other ramblings that folk post on the site, homage to favorite Mariah songs regardless of what appears on them, is choice of expression. If you don't like it, don't read it. Plain and simple. No need to be shady.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show (46,725) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Hey everybody. I know there has been a lot going on and everyone is still anticipating news on the tour (hopefully coming to the US), the divorce (rumors or facts), and the possibility of new music (after abandonment of promotion). I know I recently posted a dream setlist that was rather extensive of what I'd like to see Mariah do at this show. However, I decided to think a little out of the box and came up with what I thought would be a good idea of something that she's never done before. Do a complete show of mashups, putting new songs together with old songs and performing them live at the show. Some of the older hits would of course not be touched, like Hero and We Belong Together, but others would be used to allow those songs to see the light of day and also receive new day recognition with her new work. Feedback please. Setlist:
Act One: Background Singers
1) Medley: Touch My Body, Obsessed, Heartbreaker, Fantasy, It's Like That
2) Underneath the Stars Snippet
Act Two: For the Nostalgia
3) Loverboy/Dreamlover
4) Always Be My Baby/My All (Stay Awhile)
5) Make It Happen/Vision of Love
5) Hero
6) We Belong Together
Act Three: A Broken Home
7) Vanishing/Cry.
8) You're Mine (Eternal)/Stay The Night
9) Faded/Side Effects
10) You Don't Know What to Do/Long Ago
11) Thirsty/Up Out My Face/Shake It Off
12) Music Box/Supernatural
Act Four: Make it Look Good
13) Make It Look Good/Subtle Invitation
14) Meteorite/Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise)
15) Money/I Know What You Want
16) The Roof/Dedicated
17) Camouflage/Petals
18) The Art of Letting Go/I Don't Wanna Cry
19) One More Try/I Still Believe/Against All Odds
Encore:
20) Heavenly/My Saving Grace/Fly Like a Bird
21) Sent From Up Above/#Beautiful

MIAMTEC video album ideas (46,262) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Cry. - A black and white video that plays the events leading to the breakup backwards. Starting off with Mariah running backwards from chasing him as he walks out the door. Show incidents of her wrongs and flaws in a relationship and his vulnerability. Mariah is also strected out upon a black piano with flashbacks to that and the visuals of the relationship.
Faded. - Video starts off with Mariah texting and smoking. The video highlights her lover's appearance on random nights and disappearance when she is awake. Images are shown of them together and they fade from color to black and white. They are shown in the during the first chorus before he disappears. For the second verse, she is driving through town and images of the two appear in the sky and are in black in white. The video ends with him coming and ringing the doorbell and Mariah turning the front lights off looking at him from the window and the outside fading to Grey.
Dedicated - A cookout party with Mariah and Nas there. Visuals of having a good time with people. The screen is split between visuals of the cookout and visuals of nostalgia hip hop/music moments from the 80's, 90's, Mariah's career, Nas' career, and JD's.
Thirsty - Mariah in the car with her companion and blasting him for his shortcomings. While also showing off visuals of them out in public and having issues. During the bridge, Mariah and some background dancers perform a routine and she leaves him stranded.
Make It Look Good - Starts off with Mariah on the beach on a sunny day and seeing her person of interest walk from the water shirtless. From there she is seen jogging in town while he is driving on the street, and getting a coffee from a cafe and seeing him there. She arrives at a ball and sees him. They dance with several partners and switch off until they dance with one another. Afterwards, he gives her his hotel room key. She shows up and they dance in the room and make out. She wakes up in the morning and gets up to leave. He pulls her back into the bed and holds her.
You Don't Know What to Do - Video starts off at a ball. Females are sitting one way and the guys sitting the other way, lead by Mariah and Wale. The two are speaking their parts of the song. During Wale's verse, dancers begin skating around the place. Mariah is seen during her verse and chorus provoking Wale for his wrongs in fun and serious manners. During Wale's second verse, the males take to the stage to perform. Mariah and her girls go up during her chorus and counter perform. The close of the song sees the women walk off the stage after serenading the men to believe they were back in their clutches.
Supernatural - Starts off as a home movie of Mariah and her family. The video then turns into highlights of real life and celebrities parents with their children.
Meteorite - Mariah is getting ready in the mirror to go out for a night in the town for the first verse. During the first chorus she is riding in the limo to her destination and looking out the window at the sky. During the second verse, she arrives at the event and takes photos and walks the red carpet. For the final chorus she takes the stage at the event and performs.
Camouflage - The video is Mariah and her spouse in marital counseling. She sings to him during the counseling sessions as images of their failed relationship flash in and out of the video. During the bridge she goes out to get some air and he comes to comfort her before she gets emotional and sings with power to him. The video ends with them hugging and crying in one another's arms.
Money - This video shows off Mariah, Fabolous, and Hit-Boy's flashly lifestyles and appearances at big celebrity filled events while also showing their missing their significant other and highlights of them on jets, cruises, and in lingerie. The entrance of them walking into a party with a band playing during their entrance. It ends with Mariah turning her limo around to go back home. She arrives and gets out of the car in a robe that she unveils lingerie into her lover at the front door.
One More Try - Mariah is walking to the beach and receives a message in a bottle. As she walks, video flashbacks are being shown of her and Wentworth Miller from We Belong Together and It's Like That. Other shots are shown of them together. She takes and is scene in her robe with glasses on in her beach house reading the letter. The letter is the lyrics to the first verse from an estranged lover. The second half of the verse is her writing back. This is for both verses. During the chorus Mariah takes her response letter back in a bottle to the water and looks up to see her ex lover, Wentworth Miller, walking towards her. They exchange the verse and chorus and affection towards each other until she runs away. He chases her and pulls a ring out of the sand, the wedding ring. He puts it back on her as they walk off into the water on the beach together.
Heavenly - Mariah is watching videos of her past while in a church. Her career is told through videos of her early successes, separation from Tommy, leaving Sony, Glitter, The Emancipation of Mimi, remarriage, and current life. The climax sees her enter the church and sing with a choir. At the end, images of her at different stages of her career are put beside her currently and they all walk out together outside of the church.
The Art of Letting Go - The video is set in the home of Mariah and her lover. She is going through his belongings, their memories, before setting the house on fire, on the steps crying.

Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse promo plans (46,259) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Of course the obvious answers would be to release the album in the summer after #Beautiful or to have not released Triumphant (Get 'Em). Obviously those things did not occur, so here is what I would've done starting with the release of #Beautiful last May. Launch Beautiful in May of 2013. Continue promoting the single up until July 23. Once cancelling the album's summer release, release an EP of about 6 songs to hold fans over until the album's release. Release "The Art of Letting Go" as a album teaser in November and promote it to Adult Contemporary and R&B. Over holiday break 2013, release a compilation of unreleased material from earlier in her career for fans to have music to enjoy until the album. Release "You're Mine (Eternal)" on February 12. [...] Perform live television appearances, etc. Release "Angels Advocate" as a free download in mid March. In April, release a mixtape comprised of remixes of current songs in hip hop, r&b, and pop with Mariah's version and rewritten tracks. After pushing the album's release back from May 6 to the 27, on the 6th release another "EP" of about 8 tracks to serve as a teaser for fans until the album's release date. Beginning May 1, book appearances on The View, The Talk, Good Morning America, The Today Show, relaunch Storytellers, and Behind The Music. Perform at both the Billboard Music Awards and Iheartmusic Awards. The week of the album, release music videos to every single song, two a day. Release "Thirsty" and "You Don't Know What to Do" as singles a week before the album's release. The Monday after the album's release, release a completely new track not on the album. Announce via social media that due to the long wait and excess in material, "Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse vol. 2" will be released the following day with all new material, lead by the new single released the day before. Include a completely new version of "Triumphant" (solo), "Kick Rocks", "Save The Day", and other non-used material. Promote the three singles and both albums with televised appearances including performing at the BET Awards. Release "Faded" as the final single of vol. 1 in August. Perform at the VMAs. Release new singles from vol. 2 from in September and launch tour in October. I'm sure everyone is tired of my posts but I have one more that I will be posting which are what I believe would've been good video themes for each of the songs on the album. Thanks.

Proper promotion for Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (46,254) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Continuing my most previous post on E=MC2, I believe that Memoirs was not fully capitalized on. If E=MC2 rode its success into the early part of 2009, while Mariah was already working on MOAIA, the album could've fared far better in terms of sales and single success. It could've also assisted "My Love" with The-Dream to be a greater hit. Mapped out below would've been my single projections, in correlation with the release of Angels Advocate, the tour, and Precious. Following this post, I will post what I believe would've been a great approach following the flop of "Triumphant (Get 'Em)".
First single - "Obsessed" released in June, perform single at VMAs, BET Awards, and not cancelled Storytellers appearance.
Second single - "I Want to Know What Love Is" released in early September, performed on every adult oriented talk show possible. Released music video the day of the album release. And have a much better music video.
Third singles - "H.A.T.E.U."/"Angels Cry" released in November.
Fourth single/first single to Angels Advocate: "Up Out My Face" remix featuring Nicki Minaj and "Inseparable" featuring Trey Songz. Promote these songs strongly with television appearances.
Final single from original album: "Ribbon"

Proper promotion for E=MC2 (46,251) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
I've been thinking a lot of about how Mariah's management team could've kept her momentum going after the big debut of E=MC2 back in 2008 and how it could've carried strongly through with her releases in 2009, 2010, and her return in 2012. Here are some ideas I had as to what I think would've been a great promotion approach to keeping Mariah as the #1 female even with the evolution of music in the six years that have followed E=MC2. Of course, I am aware that both Mariah's marriage and miscarriage factored into promotion lack from May through the end of the year for the album and it's singles.
*E=MC2 - Release all singles as doubles instead of one single being promoted at a time, release two. With pairs of singles released, there would've been more Mariah flooding the radio and televisions. This would've made more people familiar with the material, especially with the album starting off with very strong sales and promotion, it is evident that the album was well favored. It was a very single driven album. Single selections:
Lead - Touch My Body/ Migrate (February)
Second - Bye Bye/For The Record (April)
Third - I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time/Love Story (June)
Fourth - Side Effects/I'm That Chick Remix (remix version sampling "Hypnotize" and "All Eyez On Me" for album re-release) (September)
October - Album re-release
Relaunch All I Want For Christmas for Holiday season
Fifth - O.O.C./I Stay in Love (January)

Below I have listed my dream setlist for the current tour. I tried to combine album cuts, fan favorites, hits, and records from the new album. I do know that list is pretty extensive with a lot of songs so Mariah would not likely do all of them, but nothing's wrong with wishful thinking.

Current status: divorce, tour, future of album (46,248) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
First off if the divorce rumors are indeed true, my heart completely goes out to Mariah and Nick both for the sake of their children. I am optimistic that they can still work something out. The separation in May would definitely explain her lack of promotion for the album or its radio-friendly singles like "You Don't Know What to Do" and "Thirsty". I believe their marriage issues beginning in March also sabotaged any hopes and energy Mariah had to even revive and promote "You're Mine (Eternal)", which even without promotion was receiving airplay and gaining rise on charts aside from the Billboard Hot 100.
I was very excited to hear about the tour. I do believe that it is a smart promoting strategy and one that her fans all around the world have been waiting for her to do. It is also a breath of fresh air that maybe there are more things to come with this new album. I am hoping that she does indeed plan on touring the United States to revive the sales despite the fact that they are at a record low for her.
As for the current album, with all of the layovers and issues in Mariah's life, I am not surprised that the album has flopped. It is truly a shame because the album is so good. At this point, I thought Mariah would possibly relaunch the album with a new single and new songs to coincide with the tour, but at this point I feel she is just going to let it subside and move on. I believe that her heartbreak she is dealing now and hints of writing new material tease a new album.

Songs I wish were Mariah's/Mariah should cover (46,246) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
I have been absent from the board in awhile but I've noticed quite a few conversation topics brought up that I'd like to tackle. The first one being songs I would have loved to see Mariah's and songs that I think she should cover. Wish were MC's:
1) My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion (I blame Walter.)
2) Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis (Can't you hear Mariah slaying that first verse in her low register before going breathy. Would've been a great second single following Touch My Body.)
3) Someone Like You - Adele (While I admit Adele slays this, I would've loved to hear Mimi as the original singer of this.)
Wish she'd cover:
1) You Give Good Love - Whitney Houston (For some reason I envision this as a duet with Maxwell and think it would definitely be an instantaneous classic.)
2) What About Love - Heart (Ever since I heard Lil' Wayne's remake of this song, I've been itching to hear Mariah sing that first verse.)
3) So Anxious - Ginuwine (Mariah has had her fair share of sensual tracks, but I think tackling one that is more recent as well as by a male audience, would further showcase her true versatility.)
4) Ex-Factor - Lauryn Hill (With her relationship with Nick appearing to falling into shambles, I feel like Mariah's emotion would take this song to another level.)

Supporting "You're Mine" (42,272) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Good afternoon lambs. I think it is fair to note that while "You're Mine" is receiving close to no promotion, it is rising and appearing on more and more charts. I just checked the charts myself where it is at 45 on the R&b/Hip Hop Chart, in the top 40 on the Pop Chart, Dance Chart, R&B/Hip Hop Airplay, Rhythmic Top 40 and in the top 30 of the R&B Chart. While Mariah is finishing the album and not promoting, we need to assist her. I challenge each of you to for a full week, in honor of 3/27, to call every radio station possible hourly requesting to hear "You're Mine (Eternal)". In addition, lets all commit to constant views of the video on YouTube and Vevo to assist its streaming. As the lambily lets do our part to help secure this new era that is slowly but surely picking up. Can anyone post radio phone numbers for us to call hourly starting Monday? And I mean we call multiple radio stations each hour all across the country. There is no long distance via cell phone so lets get em get em go.

New album May 6th (41,082) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
I'm hesitant to call it The Art Of Letting Go since in her tweet she titled it "New Album" but oh happy day. I can't even begin to explain the excitement that is raging from my heart and soul right now. And the single is coming two days earlier than planned. I'm ecstatic. I can't even know what to say. Let the promotion begin please. We have been awaiting this album's arrival for two years. Slay away MC. I can't wait. Here's to a tracklisting appearing in the very near future.

Edward (38,972) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
Edward, sorry for the confusion. I'm not saying by any means that Mariah should resort to using techno/dance incorporated her music. I was just referring to the fact that with many other high profile female artists returning this year, Mariah has to make sure she brings her absolute A-game to the table to reclaim her throne. Which I believe she is well on her way to doing. But with both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga launching their new singles this month, it's time to revamp.

Singles that should've been #1 (38,965) by KeShawn Taylor from United States
As for singles, I was shocked that did not reach #1 in the US, the first one definitely being "Without You". It was such a huge hit and I believe set the standard of what a pop ballad should sound like when it is a remake. "When You Believe" with Whitney I also expected to be more successful than it was. While it was a huge success worldwide for both women, it did not compare to either of their greatest hits as solo artists, though Whitney's popularity had declined as well as her public image at the time of its release. I won't even get into the singles released from Butterfly and Rainbow; those singles suffered tremendously from the lack of support from her label, especially instant classics like "Breakdown", "The Roof", and "Can't Take That Away". I did expect "Bye Bye" to at least crack the top 10, as did I for "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time", which I thought would definitely be the song of the summer of 2008. All of the singles from Memoirs definitely did not lead up to my expectations for them. More specifically, I definitely believe that "Obsessed", which was all over radio that summer, and "I Want to Know What Love Is", would've been sure fire #1 singles for MC. Due to lack of promotion and the music business gearing more towards a pop/techno phase at this time, these singles had little to any chance of making a sufficient impact on the charts.
